You Have to Start Somewhere

There are so many things I want to do with my life — so many challenges and opportunities.

I want to start painting again. I want to improve my mandolin playing. I want to read more, write more and bike more. These are all possible with effort and a particular type of currency: time.

Last Sunday, I road my bike 18 miles while I explored neighborhoods around my home. It was fun and exhausting — I am still a little sore from the effort after four days out of the saddle. Hopefully I can ride again this weekend, but we will see.

Or maybe I’ll go right now. I’ve got the time to spend.
